New asphalt paving

Whether it's a new driveway, a commercial parking lot or a municipal road, we lay asphalt that's built to last. We handle everything from site prep and grading to the final surface -- done right the first time.

Asphalt overlays

An overlay is one of the most cost-effective ways to extend the life of existing pavement. We mill or clean the existing surface and apply a fresh layer of asphalt -- giving your pavement a like-new finish without the cost of full replacement.

Asphalt repairs

Potholes, edge failures, sunken areas, and surface damage don't fix themselves -- and left untreated they get worse. We assess the damage and make the right repair the first time, whether that's a simple patch or a more extensive fix.

Crack sealing

Cracks in asphalt let water in -- and water is the number one enemy of pavement. Professional crack sealing stops water infiltration before it turns a small crack into a big repair. It's one of the best investments you can make in the life of your pavement.

Seal coating

Seal coating protects your asphalt from UV damage, water, and everyday wear. It restores the deep black finish of fresh asphalt and extends the life of your pavement significantly. We recommend seal coating every 2-3 years as part of a regular maintenance plan.

Parking lot striping

Good striping isn't just about looks — it keeps people safe and spaces functional. We stripe parking lots, roadways, municipal spaces, and recreational courts including tennis, pickleball, and basketball. New layouts, restripes, ADA-compliant markings, fire lanes, and directional arrows — we do it all.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have questions about your next paving project? Get clear, professional answers from the Eastern Iowa asphalt experts. We help property owners make informed decisions about their pavement maintenance and infrastructure.

Q: What is an asphalt overlay and when is it used?

An asphalt overlay involves laying a fresh layer of hot-mix asphalt directly over an existing asphalt surface. It is a cost-effective way to restore structural integrity, smoothness, and appearance when the underlying base layer is still in sound condition.

Q: How long does a new asphalt driveway or parking lot last?

With proper base preparation and routine preventative maintenance, a professionally installed hot-mix asphalt surface can easily last 15 to 20+ years through harsh Iowa winters.

Q: Why is asphalt ideal for grain bin pads and agricultural staging areas?

Agricultural environments expose surfaces to heavy runoff, moisture, and corrosive salts. Asphalt resists this chemical breakdown much better than concrete and flexes safely under the massive loads of loaded grain semis.

Q: What type of maintenance does hot-mix asphalt require?

To maximize your pavement's lifespan, we recommend preventative seal coating every 3-5 years and prompt hot-rubberized crack sealing to block out destructive moisture.
